The Mendocino Coast Health Care District was formed to contruct an operate the Mendocino Coast Hospital.

In 2020 the District Board leased the Hospital facility to Adventist Health, who now operates the Coast Hospital.  The Board serves as the landlord to Adventist Health who now operates the Coast Hospital.  

The Board's primary responsiblity to be a responsible landlord by properly maintaining the Mendocino Coast Hospital Property, Plant and Equipment, and insuring that the Hospital Facility is licensed to operate by the State of California.
